Advanced electrocoagulation and electrooxidation pakcage
In recent years, electrochemical processes including electrocoagulation(EC) and electrooxidation (EO) process have been used as a efficient method for industrial wastewater treatment. These methods are being used as a suitable substitution for chemical coagulation processes which consume a lot of chemicals and produce sludge. In electrocoagulation process using applied electric current, metal ions are produced. The coagulant has been provided by dissolusion of andes and is associated with the production of hydrogen and hydroxyl ions at the cathode. Pollutant articles existing in effluent with settled metal ions that have opposite charge and produced hydrogen bubbles, make the suspended materials floated. Thus, the existing pollutions leave the effluent and are omitted by efficient filteration. During electooxidation process, the shaped hydroxide radicals can oxidize the organic pollutants such as aromatics, food, medicine and dyes in effluent to be easily setteled or floated. Fardanegar Nanotechnology Payamavar Co., by a special designing on electrocoagulation reactor to increase the life span of metal electrodes and to combine it by advanced eletrooxidation process, suggests this method as an efficent process to eliminate the organic and inorganic pollutions for industrial effluents. In electrooxidation process design, metal nanooxide coatings over anode surface is used to improve oxidation performance and pollutants treatment.
